Equipment designed for corrosive environments and aggressive processes
The chemical industry demands equipment able to withstand corrosive atmospheres, oxidising agents, acids and alkalis, often at high temperature and pressure. Material selection is critical: an error can compromise the integrity of the equipment and the safety of the installation.
At Talleres ECI we select the right material for each fluid and process condition: 316L stainless steel for dilute acids, duplex 2205 for chlorides, Hastelloy C-276 for concentrated oxidising acids, or titanium when the service requires it. We apply the PED regulation and ATEX requirements where applicable.
Every piece of equipment for the chemical industry comes with complete material documentation, including chemical and mechanical analysis (3.1 certificate) and welding records that allow full traceability for any inspection or audit.

Materials for aggressive chemical environments
316L Stainless / Duplex
Resistance to chlorides, organic acids and moderately corrosive environments. Duplex 2205 for greater resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
Nickel alloys
Hastelloy C-276, Inconel 625 and 825 for concentrated oxidising acids, high temperatures and the most chemically aggressive environments.
PED / ATEX certification
Manufacture of pressure vessels compliant with PED 2014/68/EU and equipment for ATEX zones with the required technical documentation.
Boilermaking for the chemical industry
Material selection is based on the fluid (concentration, pH, presence of chlorides or oxidants), operating temperature and pressure. We use proven chemical compatibility tables and, where there is doubt, consult with the client and, if necessary, with suppliers of special materials. The decision is recorded in the equipment's technical datasheet.
We manufacture structures and static equipment for ATEX zones (without electrical components). For equipment incorporating electrical components in an ATEX zone, we work with the client and the suppliers of the certified components to ensure the final equipment complies with the ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.
Yes, with the work permits and safety measures set by the facility manager. Our staff are trained in industrial safety and are familiar with standard chemical plant procedures: hot work permits, atmosphere analysis, and protective equipment appropriate to the specific risk.
