Bespoke industrial boilermaking
Industrial boilermaking is the discipline covering the fabrication of metal equipment and structures subject to pressure, temperature or severe process conditions. At Talleres ECI we carry out boilermaking projects with full dimensional and metallurgical control, from one-off parts to short production runs.
We work with AISI 304, 316L and duplex stainless steel, as well as carbon steel and special alloys, matching the material to the fluid, temperature and applicable regulations in each case.
Every project goes through a prior technical study, design in compliance with regulations (PED, EN 13480, EN 13445…), fabrication by qualified welders, and complete documented quality control.
What we manufacture
- Vertical and horizontal tanks
- Pressure vessels (PED)
- Heat exchangers
- Headers and manifolds
- Industrial pipework
- Reactors and mixers
- Metal silos and hoppers
- Filters and separators
- Casings and enclosures
- Special boilermaking parts
Materials and standards
Stainless steel
AISI 304, 316L, 321, duplex 2205 and super duplex for corrosive environments and food or pharmaceutical applications.
Carbon steel
S235, S275, S355 and fine-grain steels for structures, storage tanks and process pipework.
Standards applied
Fabrication in compliance with PED 2014/68/EU, EN 13445, EN 13480, AD 2000 and sector-specific regulations (food, pharmaceutical, chemical).
Fabrication process
Every boilermaking project follows a structured process that guarantees full traceability and compliance with client requirements:
-
01
Engineering and calculation
Study of pressures, temperatures, fluids and applicable regulations. Thickness calculation and material selection.
-
02
Technical design
2D/3D fabrication drawings, bill of materials and inspection and test plan (ITP).
-
03
Certified fabrication
Carried out by qualified welders (EN ISO 9606). Continuous dimensional control at every stage.
-
04
Testing and inspection
Hydrostatic testing, NDT (dye penetrant, ultrasonics, radiography) according to risk level.
-
05
Surface finishing
Pickling, passivation, electrolytic polishing, sandblasting or painting depending on the application.
-
06
Documentation and handover
Fabrication dossier, material certificates, welding records and declaration of conformity.
